The Black Rat Traders participate in Live Role Play (LRP) Events organised by the Lorien Trust. They take their name from their ship, a man-o-war with 74 artillery pieces.

The crew ply the open seas as privateers, free traders and hired swords. They have dual motivations: good times and profit. Their motto is "Where we go one, we go all".
